The Hour Is Late...

The Hour Is Late...

I have been celebrating Mass at a local parish while the pastor is away the past few weeks. Many of the readings during that time concerned the prophets and their message and trials. I was moved to reflect once again on the prophetic dimension of our Baptism in Christ-Priest, Prophet and King. Several decades ago, the great Archbishop Fulton Sheen said, “The prophetic voice of Christ has all but been stilled in the Church today.” To the degree we fail in this prophetic mission, the world will sink into oblivion under the increasing weight of its sins.

In my lifetime, the United States has gone from quite a wholesome, rational, and moral country, to one that is largely decadent, irrational, and immoral. Most people seem to be hardened to it, unconcerned that we have a death wish in process.

First it was artificial contraception, then abortion, then partial-birth abortion, then infanticide (all of which have been supported by many liberal politicians at one time or another, even some running for president) not to mention euthanasia, and outright killing of the disabled and sick. Actually, it’s even worse. Terri Schiavo wasn’t sick. She didn’t die from an illness. They killed her by starvation, a very cruel way to die.

Now it’s same sex marriage (no transmission of life, no fruit of natural love) and we call it inclusive and just. It is yet another nail in the coffin of a society that is clearly dying. Every stage of life is under assault by the forces of death. From prevention of life through artificial contraception, to abortion-which is homicide by definition in each case (the taking of the life of an innocent human being), and genocide taken as a whole. Preventing life, ending life from the youngest to the oldest. We call it progress. It is a death wish, and we had better watch what we wish for.

"All that evil requires to prosper is that good men remain silent.” The hour is late. We have had years to change course. Instead, we have obstinately refused and gone from bad to worse. May God have mercy on us, and grant us the courage and strength to act in accordance with that truth.

God bless you,

Fr. John Corapi

I AM MAD AS HELL

I AM MAD AS HELL

Richard Salbato - June 25, 2008

Normally I try to write something for the international Catholic press every week, but I have been so depressed and disgusted for the last two months that I have not written anything.

There has been a great deal of new information over these two months on new and approved apparitions, new exposure of false mystics and apparitions and great news on the international Liturgy that I should have written on and posted. However, none of these things are important when you think about the main issue of true Catholics and that is the salvation of souls.

I have become very depressed about the illogical, lack of common sense, when it comes to basic truths of the Catholic Faith on morals and essential truths of the faith. When I read the Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma, I see it as the teaching of the Church on explaining the Ten Commandments and Christ’s explanations of these commandments. These are the essential things we must do to save our souls. What else matters?

Everything else is sound and furry signifying nothing. Catholics might be able to disagree on war, apparitions, methods of worship, but when it comes to essential truths of the faith, we cannot disagree without loosing our souls. I am coming to believe that a majority of Catholics in America, Canada and Europe are going to end up in Hell; therefore, I have to step back, find out why and do whatsoever I can to turn the tide.

I stopped writing and began to just watch and observe what people do and say on a day by day basis. I went to two of my grandchildren’s graduations from High School, and helped another one buy and move in to a new home. I watched Catholics at Mass and by their actions I can see what they believe. I have listened to priests and nuns and read the writings and instructions of bishops from many countries. I have gone from being depressed to being mad as Hell.

Years ago I saw that outside organizations like the Masons, the Communists and the Homosexuals infiltrated the Church to destroy it from within. I not only wrote about this but offered the proof in a massive document under the title, Remnants Of Communism and these people wrote that the use of psychology, psychiatry and sociology would be the tools used to destroy faith and morals. That has happened not only in Catholic Schools but also in the Seminaries. Humanistic Psychiatry actually destroyed entire orders of priests and nuns.

See Notes: 7 and 8

So called Catholic priests and theologians (financed by these Communists and Masons) have been very effective in destroying faith in the true presence of Christ in the Eucharist. Priests like Karl Riener, Edward Schillebeeechex and Ted Guzie, or ex priests like Anthony Wilhelm and Catholic School so-called experts like Monica Hellwig have destroyed the seminaries and schools of the western world for over 50 years to the point that I do not trust any priest or nun that came out of these educational systems.

I have watched how hard it is for even good parents to bring up good children in a world where everyone thinks they are entitled to things that they never earned. This idea that we are entitled to anything except life and free-will is a result of this new psychological society of me first and everything else second. We are not even entitled to Heaven, we have to earn it by accepting God’s grace and keeping His commandments. I have come to believe by observation that this idea of entitlement is what has angered me so much lately but I will explain that later.

Two years ago when (pro-abortion) Democrats overwhelmingly took control of the House and Senate, I noted that 65% of Catholics voted them in. I was so angry about this that I wrote a Newsletter back then called. Voting And Major Sin . I did not say anything that Popes and leading Catholics had not already said; that voting for a pro-abortion candidate is a major sin and no other issue can justify voting this way. Since some people believe that other issues have equal importance, I again wrote about these other issues in a Newsletter called - Keep it Simple, Stupid

Since many Catholics believed that a war that has killed 4000 Americans is more important than the killing of 8000 babies a day in America, I wrote $5.00 Gas or World War III I wrote this when Gas was $2.00 a gallon and no one was running for president. Again when people began to think that the major issue was the housing crisis I wrote another Newsletter called, Major Issue is NOT the Economy because I knew that the major issue then and now is abortion and God’s punishment for voting for abortion would be energy and from energy to World War.

The highest teaching Authority of the Magisterium, Pope John Paul II and his Predecessors, as well as the Prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith at the time, Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger (now pope), have taught repeatedly that the right to life is the foundation of all other rights in civil society. The denial of this basic right leads eventually to the denial of all others rights. Pope Benedict XVI, when in America, answered a question by a reporter. “What would you do about a Catholic Politician who votes pro-abortion.” Benedict answered, “I would excommunicate him.” In Italy right now there has just been elected the most pro Catholic President in the last 15 years and he will be good for the Church and Italy. In spite of this political expediency for the Church, he is not allowed to go to communion because he is divorced and re-married. How would this be handled in America?

All other grave social issues, such as war, poverty, health, economic justice, immigration, etc. are of secondary importance and indeed pale in comparison to innocent human life under systematic annihilation. This is not simply a matter of one's personal faith, it is a matter of reason and salvation.

The human intellect knows intuitively that the innocent person's right to life has a greater priority than other social issues which are concerned with the quality of life. By magisterial teaching it also happens to be an article of Faith. Christ Himself instructed the Apostles and His Disciples to uphold the Fifth Commandment, "Thou Shalt Not Murder." Ex. XX, 13. Bishops, as Successors to those Apostles, are charged with doing the same in Christ's name.

In 1994 the greatest assault on innocent human life was beginning by the abortionists. Euthanasia had begun to emerge as a growing concern, but cloning, embryonic stem cell research and even infanticide had not yet assumed the magnitude of the tragedy or danger that they pose in common today.

In 1995 Pope John Paul II concluded that it was urgent to promulgate the Encyclical Evangelium Vitae. Some 12,000,000 abortions later, it has become crystal clear that the politician who actively engages his political skills to maintain abortion-on-demand and who protects the ongoing genocide by voting for legislation in favor of abortion formally cooperates in the evil of abortion itself. In reality, the distinction between the abortionist and the politician is almost nominal: One, a murderer, is guilty of directly procuring abortions; the politician, makes it legally possible for the genocide to continue unabated.

Critically, now, without doubt, the integrity of the Christian Faith is under attack not just from without, but worse, from within the Church. It is under attack by Catholic politicians who publicly and obstinately support what in all truth is nothing less than Heresy. By heresy I mean an obstinate denial or doubt of a core, non-negotiable dogma of the Faith proposed by the Magisterium as revealed doctrine, as set forth in Canon 751 of the Code of Canon Law of 1983 and amended in 1998.

Heresy is indeed committed by supporting either the moral rectitude of abortion as a "human right," or absent that, professing merely the "civil right to abortion." Both of these errors are so diametrically opposed to the demands of Christian witness that to obstinately adhere to them automatically cuts one off from any hope of salvation. Any Catholic who supports these two heresies by his vote risks eternal damnation.

The Upcoming Election

As I wrote two months ago, the United States has survived some of the worse government and worst presidents in history because of the way it was designed with a constitution and check and balance systems, and also because we have given it to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and it will survive the next government. God Bless America, The Greatest Nation in History

However, even though I know that we will survive a stupid congress, a stupid president and stupid voters, what will God think of all this? What does God think when 95% of black people vote for Barak Hussien Muhammad Obam , even conservative blacks (understandable), but only 38% of Catholics are going to vote pro-life. In fact, there never has been a more pro-abortion candidate than Obama, who voted four times for late term abortion. Those few pro-live Catholics who have been working night and day to reverse Roe vs Wade, are now within one Chef Justice of overturning this unconstitutional decision. Two of the Supreme Court Justices will retire in the next four years, and Obama will appoint the most pro-abortion Judges in history. As in all other political or economic things, how America goes so goes the rest of the free world.

What angers me is that this vote is our last change and what are Catholics doing? What is God thinking about what we are doing? EWTN should be showing a sign at the bottom or top of every program that says, VOTE PRO-LIFE. Every Catholic news outlet should have this on every page and every internet page. Every influential Catholic should preach this and nothing else until the election is over.

What are Catholic Bishops doing?

More than ten years ago, my favorite pastor gave a speech at the altar, where he said that a vote for the pro-abortion candidate at that time would constitute a moral sin. That was Bill Clinton. He told the truth, a truth that even Pope Benedict agrees with, but his bishop removed him from the largest parish in the diocese and sent him to an Indian Mission parish that had 45 parishioners.

More than ten years later that Indian Mission parish has grown to almost 4000 Sunday parishioners a week and now is the richest parish in the diocese. God will not be mocked.

OK! That is just one bishop, but what about the US Conference of Catholic Bishops? This body of stupid people has spent the last ten years trying to translate the latest version of the Vatican’s Latin test of the Novus Ordo Mass, and has not finished yet. This same stupid body of so-called Elders just released a guideline for voters.

No where in this guideline does it even mention abortion, but instead it talks about Health Care, to oppose polices that reflect prejudice towards immigrants, overcoming poverty, care of creation, moral limits to the use of military force, peace and economic justice.

Personally I do not agree with any of these voting guidelines. I do not believe in National Health Care and have written about it. I do not believe in illegal immigration, but understand why Catholic bishops love it. This is the American Church’s only growth and without illegals the Church is diminishing. You can never overcome poverty as long as 50% of our students refuse to graduate from high school. As for this stupid idea of global warming, I will write about that very soon. One thing that will tempt your interest is Al Gore’s movie, An Inconvenient Truth. Did you know that the main shot of that film, the large iceberg that fell into the ocean, was actually made of Styrofoam and computer created?

If these stupid bishops do not want to mention the sin of voting for abortion, at least they should have mentioned the three other issues that are of importance, the oil crisis, the school crisis, and Catholic priests advocating breaking the law (immigration).

The Church’s first responsibility is to the truth, not to its own convenience. On matters of principle, never give in to expediency.

Father Groshell has said that voting for abortion is a sin.

George Wiegle, author of “Against The Grain”, said it is a sin.

Mother Theresa of Calcutta said it is a sin

Lucia of Fatima said that even mother’s who have abortions should be punished.

Over 38% of America is Catholic and over 60% are practicing Christians. If we were true to our faith no pro-abortion candidate would stand a chance.

I am convinced that eternal salvation is at stake in this next vote.

Vote Pro Life (your salvation is at risk).

Richard Salbato, June 25, 2008

1. Condoning Murder with Your Vote By Father Paul Weinberger

2. Roe vs Wade is no different than the unconstitutional Dred-Scott case where the Supreme Court ruled that Black People were not true human beings. Why then would any black person support Roe vs Wade?

4. We spend $21,000 per student from 1st to 12 grades (second highest in the world) and rate last in learning in the western world. 38% do not graduate.

5. From missionaries in Kenya

Thanks for sending out an alert about Obama. We are living and working in Kenya for almost twelve years now and know his family (tribe) well. They are the ones who were behind the recent Presidential election chaos here. Thousands of people have been displaced by election violence (over 350,000) and I don't know the last count of the dead.

Obama under 'friends of Obama' gave almost a million dollars to the opposition campaign who just happened to be his cousin, Raila Odinga, who is a socialist trained in East Germany. He has been trying to bring Kenya down for years and the last president threw him in prison for
trying to subvert this country! December 27th elections brought cries from ODM (Odinga Camp) of rigged election. Obama and Raila speak daily. As we watch Obama rise in the US we are sure that whatever happens, he will use the same tactic, crying rigged election if he doesn't win and possibly cause a race war in America.

What we would like you to know is what the American press has been keeping a dirty little secret. Obama IS a Muslim and he IS a racist and this is a fulfillment of the 911 threat that was just the beginning.Jihad is the only true Muslim way. We have been working with them for 20 years this July! He is not an American as we know it. Please encourage your friends and associates not to be taken in by those that are promoting him. It is world wide jihad. All our friends in Europe are very disturbed by the Muslim infiltration into their countries. By the way, his true name is Barak Hussein Muhammed Obama. Won't that sound sweet to our enemies as they swear him in on the Koran!

Pray for us here in Kenya. We are still fighting for our nation to withstand the same kind of assault that every nation, including America, is fighting...takeover from the outside to fit the new world order. As believers, this means we will be the first targets. Here in Kenya, not one mosque was burned down, but hundreds of churches were burned down, some with people in them, burned alive. Jesus Christ is our peace but the new world order of Globalism has infiltrated the church and confused believers into thinking that they can compromise and survive. It won't be so. I will send you a newsletter we sent out in February documenting in a more cohesive manner what I've tried to say in a few paragraphs.

6. United Nations and Abortion on Demand:

The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) recently released its ten-year blueprint to establish sweeping new reproductive rights, including a worldwide right to abortion on demand and a right to "have access to safe abortion." The blueprint, called "IPPF's Strategic Framework 2005-2015," is meant to guide the institution in its pursuit of what it calls the "unfinished business of sexual and reproductive health."

And the United Nations has accepted this heresy, demanding that Poland liberalize its right-to-life laws in keeping with the United Nations guidelines. They are trying the same strong arm methods with Portugal, Brazil and Morocco.

The United Nations put out a report that shows that in only 80 years, Europe will go from 36% under the age of 20 to less than 7% under the age of 20. At the same time it will go from only 1% over 80 to 17% over 80 and from 21% over 65 to over 39% over 65. This means that most of Europe will be retired and not working and in fact being paid by the government for this retirement with no young workers putting money into the till.

In spite of these figures they continue to promote a birth rate under the replenishment quota. Why? This is non other than a new type of slave labor, taken from the poorer countries of Africa, China and South America.

7. Psychology

Adam looked at himself and saw that he was naked. God said, "How do you know that you are naked." He ate from the tree forbidden to eat from, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God is the arbitrator of good and evil. God decides what is good and what is evil. But Adam wanted to be God and become the arbitrator of what was good and what was evil. In doing so he looked at himself. He looked at himself. Instead of looked towards God and God's beautiful creations, he looked inside to himself, to make an evaluation of himself, and to judge himself. He saw that without God he was naked. Why did you sin, God said. It was the woman's fault. He blamed someone else for his sin and his problem.

Today we have two new satanic religions pretending to be sciences that tell us to look at ourselves, decide ourselves what is good and evil, and if we do not like what we see, blame someone else. God implanted into us His knowledge of good and evil. We call this the conscience, and that is why when we look at ourselves we do not always like what we see. But if we are the arbitrators of good and evil we can justify sin, and that is the sin against the Holy Spirit.

8. Psychology in Church

In 1964 American psychologist Carl Rogers from the Rogers’ Western Behavioral Sciences Institute in La Jolla, CA invaded the religious orders of Nuns and Priests. His partner Dr. William Coulson (now converted back to the true faith) spoke to the Calif. Conference of Major Superiors of Women’s Religious Orders and convinced them to introduce Roger’s nondirective counseling into the orders. They brought in 60 councilors to get the nuns, priests, and students to get more in touch with themselves. They called it counseling but what it was is humanistic psychology. The results were quick.

In one year 300 of the 560 nuns left their orders, and today there are less than a dozen. The Immaculate Heart Collage closed as parents pulled their children out of the school. The same thing happened to the Jesuits. In all hundreds of Catholic schools closed and thousands of nuns and priests left the Church.

Has it ended? Read your new Catechism’s. They are all based on Carl Rogers' book; "On Becoming a Person" or the Catholic equivalent "Becoming a Person". Humanistic Psychology has so corrupted the Catholic Schools that the fastest growing industry in America is home schooling. This is why the Holy Father came out with the "Catechism of the Catholic Church" and the Encyclical "Veritatis Splendor" The Splendor of Truth.

When you hear the words, Encounter Groups, Small Faith Communities, sensitivity training, Marriage Encounter, or the like, know that this is Humanistic Psychology which opposes all authority and all hierarchy, whether the Pope or the family.

They have created a Culture of Narcissism. Narcissus was in Greek mythology. He looked in a pool of water, fell in love with his own image, fell in and died. Self-Love - Self-esteem - feeling good about oneself - like yourself no matter how bad you are? Canned pre-conditioned answers "You must first love yourself before you can love others. You have to help yourself first before --- etc." This is sick and will make you sicker. All the sicknesses of the mind are caused by either a pre-occupation with self or have biological (medical) reasons. But it is pre-occupation with the self that psychology insists on. Even Demonic possession starts with a pre-occupation of ones own desires, but this is the by-word of the psycho-nuts.

9. Cindy McCain

Cindy Hensley McCain has been disparaged as a trophy wife, a Barbie, an heiress with fancy purses, even the Paris Hilton of politics. But there's more to the picture than meets the eye.

Yes, Mrs. McCain is the perfectly coifed blonde standing dutifully behind the senator during his speeches. And yes, she wears stylish clothing and carries a Prada purse. And it's true she doesn't say much. But feminist critics who write her off as a "stand-by-your-man" shrinking violet are selling her short. In many ways, Cindy McCain stacks up sturdier than Hillary Clinton or Michelle Obama. And she'd make a more impressive first lady.

Mrs. McCain: More than meets the eye.
While Osama’s wife has been hating America, complaining about the war and undermining our troops serving in Afghanistan, McCain's wife has been worrying about her sons who actually are fighting or planning to fight in the war on terror. One, in fact, was until a few months ago deployed in Iraq during some of the worst violence. You don't hear the McCain's talk about it, but their 19-year-old Marine, Jimmy, is preparing for his second tour of duty. Their 21-year-old son, Jack, is poised to graduate from Annapolis and also could join the Marines as a second lieutenant. The couple made the decision not to draw attention to their sons out of respect for other families with sons and daughters in harm's way.

Cindy also says she doesn't want to risk falling apart on the campaign trail talking about Jimmy who was so young when he enlisted she had to sign consent forms for his medical tests before he could report for duty and potentially upsetting parents of soldiers who are serving or have been killed.

The McCain's want to make sure their boys get no special treatment. Same goes for their five other children, including a daughter they adopted from Bangladesh. During a visit to Mother Teresa's orphanage there, Cindy noticed a dying baby. The orphanage could not provide the medical care needed to save her life. So she brought the child home to America for the surgery she desperately needed. The baby is now their healthy, 16-year-old daughter, Bridget.

Though all seven McCain children including two Sen. McCain adopted from his first marriage are supportive of their father, they prefer their privacy to the glare of the campaign trail. Another daughter, Meghan, 23, helps him behind the scenes.

Cindy McCain not only cherishes her children, but also her country, which in an election year filled with America-bashing, is a refreshing novelty. She seethed when she heard Michelle Obama's unpatriotic remarks that she only recently grew proud of America. "I am very proud of my country," Mrs. McCain asserted.

She also may be tougher than the other women in the race. While Hillary thinks she's come under sniper fire on mission trips abroad, Cindy has actually seen violence. She witnessed a boy get blown up by a mine in Kuwait during a trip with an international group that removes land mines from war-torn countries.

Mrs. McCain also is a hands-on philanthropist. She sits on the board of Operation Smile, which arranges for plastic surgeons to fix cleft palates and other birth defects. She also has helped organize relief missions to Micronesia.

During a scuba-diving vacation to the islands, Mrs. McCain took a friend to a local hospital to have a cut treated. She was shocked, and saddened, by what she saw. "They opened the door to the OR, where the supplies were, and there were two cats and a whole bunch of rats climbing out of the sterile supplies," she recalled. "They had no X-ray machine, no beds. To me, it was devastating because it was a U.S. trust territory." As soon as she returned home, she arranged for medical equipment and teams of doctors to be sent to treat the island children.

Michelle Obama may contribute to CARE, which fights global poverty and works to empower poor women. Cindy sits on its board.

While the Democrat women talk about helping the poor and needy, Cindy McCain actually rolls up her sleeves and does it. Who's the out-of-touch elitist?

10. Obama and Abortion by Peter J. Smith

Barack Obama, the presumptive pro-abortion nominee of the Democratic Party, has plans to reward the allies that helped him topple Hillary Clinton from her throne by making total unrestricted abortion in the United States his number one priority as president.

In light of Obama's recently achieved status as the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, Focus on the Family's CitizenLink has decided to remind its supporters that almost one year has passed since Obama made his vows to the Planned Parenthood Action Fund that abortion would be the first priority of his administration.

"The first thing I'd do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act," Obama said in his July speech to abortion advocates worried about the increase of pro-life legislation at the state level.

The Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) is legislation Obama has co-sponsored along with 18 other senators that would annihilate every single state law limiting or regulating abortion, including the federal ban on partial birth abortion.

The 2007 version of FOCA proposed: "It is the policy of the United States that every woman has the fundamental right to choose to bear a child, to terminate a pregnancy prior to fetal viability, or to terminate a pregnancy after fetal viability when necessary to protect the life or health of the woman."

11. Stats on Illegal Immigration

1. 40% of all workers in L.A. County ( L.A. County has 10.2 million people) are working for cash and not paying taxes. This is because they are predominantly illegal immigrants
working without a green card.
2. 95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.
3. 75% of people on the most wanted list in Los Angeles are illegal aliens.
4. Over 2/3 of all births in Los Angeles County are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal , whose births were paid for by taxpayers.
5. Nearly 35% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally.
6. Over 300,000 illegal aliens in Los Angeles County are living in garages.
7. The FBI reports half of all gang members in Los Angeles are most likely illegal aliens from south of the border.
8. Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal.
9. 21 radio stations in L.A are Spanish speaking.
10. In L.A. County 5.1 million people speak English, 3.9 million speak Spanish. (There are 10.2 million people in L.A. County )
Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare.
29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.

12. The Humility of McCain

Talk about putting your most valuable where your mouth is! Apparently this was not 'newsworthy' enough for the media to comment about. Can either of the other presidential candidates truthfully come close to this? ... Just a question for each of us to seek an answer, and not a statement.

You see...character is what's shown when the public is not looking. There were no cameras or press invited to what you are about to read about, and the story comes from one person in New Hampshire.

One evening last July, Senator John McCain of Arizona arrived at the New Hampshire home of Erin Flanagan for sandwiches, chocolate-chip cookies and a heartfelt talk about Iraq. They had met at a presidential debate, when she asked the candidates what they would do to bring home American soldiers - - soldiers like her brother, who had been killed in action a few months earlier.

Mr. McCain did not bring cameras or press. Instead, he brought his youngest son, James McCain, 19, then a private first class in the Marine Corps about to leave for Iraq. Father and son sat down to hear more about Ms. Flanagan's brother Michael Cleary, a 24-year-old Army First Lieutenant killed by an ambush ... a roadside bomb.

No one mentioned the obvious: In just days, Jimmy McCain could face similar perils. 'I can't imagine what it must have been like for them as they were coming to meet with a family that ......' Ms. Flanagan recalled, choking up. 'We lost a dear one,' she finished.

Mr. McCain, now the presumptive Republican nominee, has staked his candidacy on the promise that American troops can bring stability to Iraq. What he almost never says is that one of them is his own son, who spent seven months patrolling Anbar Province and learned of his father's New Hampshire victory in January while he was digging a stuck military vehicle out of the mud.

Two of Jimmy's three older brothers went into the military. Doug McCain, 48, was a Navy pilot. Jack McCain, 21, is to graduate from the Naval Academy next year, raising the chances that his father, if elected, could become the first president since Dwight D. Eisenhower with a son at war.

I chose to share this with those who I believe will pass it on, to others who will pass it on. We hear so much inflated trash out there. How about a simple act of kindness ... and dedication to others placed above oneself?

Has anybody heard if Barack Hussein Obama has served in The American Armed Services?

13. From Obama’s book

From Barack's book, “Audacity of Hope”:

'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.'

HE DID NOT SAY STAND WITH AMERICANS!!!!!

14. Oil

I spend some time every day to see what congress is doing about the major issues of the day. Everyday the Republicans try to bring forth debate on the oil crisis, and everyday the Democrats change the subject to cleaning beaches, monkey bites or some other stupidity.

I know the solution to the oil crisis and will write about it. It can be solved in one year.

I'm Taking a Vacation from Blogging

I'm taking a vacation from blogging.

I'm excited and full of hope about the nationwide EWTN radio network. Please pray for EWTN because it is the main hope, I see, for turning the USA back to light from the Godless darkness. As a great writer said:

"Life without God is torment."

May God bless you with Hope,

Fred

PS-Below is a book I'm working on.

INTRODUCTION

This essays will touch the two levels of knowing: personal and objective.

Chapter one will be personal. The beginning of chapters two through nine will give episodes in the boys life.

The rest of each chapter will deal with exploration of these episodes. Exploration vehicles will be history, philosophy, literature and science. We will attempt a voyage to discover the meaning of love and life.

Chapter 1

THE BOY

The boy watched the clock. It ticked to the moment he waited for all day. The moment he would play baseball.

School meant only two things to the boy: recess and after school.

He remembered kicking the ball. It hit his female teacher in the head. Next thing he knew he was in class with the teacher walking up to his desk. She wrote a big red F on the top of the his paper. He put a line though the front of the F, which made it look like a A. She turned red in the face. After that the boy got only bad grades.

Figuring if he was dumb a least he would have fun. He daydreamed of making a fantastic catches like Willie Mays. He felt in his blood the bravado of Juan Marichal whose pitching delivery started with his foot kicking above his head. He wanted to be like Willie Mc Covey who kept playing despite terrible knee injuries. Willie Mc would run around the bases even though he could hardly walk.

The ballplayers loved what they did. He wanted to be like them using every bit of talent to
achieve heroics. After school, the boy was happy playing baseball and daydreaming. This was his last year of elementary school.

After a long walk he saw the sign: Fisher Middle School. He didn’t notice the sign. His mind was occupied. He had just walk through the middle of the gangs.

The whites were on one side of the street and on the other side were the Chicanos. For the first time he saw what looked like real race hatred. Inside the school everything was cliqueish. Few of the kids from elementary school went to Fischer. His baseball playing afternoons were over.

The boy became a paperboy and threw his energy into the paper route. He hated school. His only ambition was to get out.

His younger brother and he cut school for a few weeks. They called each others school with “parental excuses” for the other. The boy in his deepest voice said ” Matt Martinez is sick. His not going to make it to school this week.”

One day after feasting on lunch from paper route money, they were caught and forced back.

The next year there were still to gangs, but now they were Chicano and Black. The neighborhood was changing and so was the world.

Martin Luther King Jr. was murdered. The neighboring highschool rioted so all the Blacks were let out of Fischer. The world was turning ugly.”

Then Robert Kennedy ran for president. The boy thought “He is such a good man. We hope he’ll make everything right.”

We saw Bobby at Our Lady of Guadalupe church. A lady pinched to see if he was real. He blushed and smiled. He really touched the little people and we touched him back.

The Martinez family stayed awake until Robert won the California primary. The happy boy went to sleep. He woke up to his mother's crying. Bobby was killed. He cried and then dilivered his paper route.

The rest of this essays deal with episodes in the boy's later life. These episodes lead him on a search. The results of that search will make up the chapters of this work.

Chapter 2 Love

The boy and his mother loved the hope Robert Kennedy gave. Both cried. The boy searched for someone or something to love and hope in.

The vast majority of Latinos belong to the Christian culture, which is based on love. The Greek language of the New Testament has three different words for love: agape, philia and eros.

Eros is the love of a person for another person. Its highest form is the attraction of a man for a woman. The symbol of eros is a man and a woman facing each other.

Philia is the love of a group of persons for each other. The city of brotherly love in the East Coast is named after this love. Its highest form is the unity of family members. The symbol of philia is persons side by side.

While eros and philia were widely used before Christ's time, agape was relatively unknown. Agape is love of God man. Its highest form is the God-man giving His life for enemy and friend. The symbol of agape is the cruxifix. Agapes fulfillment is the resurrection.

D H Lawrence touched on eros and philia when he said, “There are, the young women say, no real men to love. And there are, the young men say, no real girls to fall-in love with."1

According to Lawrence, the women’s love tends toward Eros. Her love is direct, face to face. Men’s love tends toward philia. His love falls through something to meet the woman. His love is hand holding hand, side by side.

Lawrence wrote," I believe there has never been an age of greater mistrust between persons than in ours today." 2 In other words, eros was mistrusted and a superficial philia was trusted. This was written when the feminist and socialist state was being established in England.

The feminist denied eros and the state upsurged the philia of the family. The state in Western secular regimes has been at war with the family since this time.

The feminist and the Puritan for different reasons taught their daughters not to love, but to mistrust their personal eros and their father’s philia.

G K Chesterton defended love and children against the sterile Puritan/feminist monster and it’s power mad Frankenstein father- the monopolistic capitalist/socialist state. He was a troubadour who fought for love of a woman and the right of a men to sing and drink beer. His love poetry to his wife are masterpieces and his beer songs are still fun.

Ernest Van Den Haag said the medieval troubadour “conceived love a longing, a tension between desire and fulfillment.” 3 In this way he showed the similarity between loveless anxiety and loving faith suspense.

Anxiety is a suspense. It is a suspense with fear about the outcome of relationships. In a way anxiety is a good sign. If one has it, it show they have not gone mad like Marx’s and Nietzsche’s self-actualized supermen Hitler and Stalin who believed they were beyond relationship. If anxiety does not find a relationship with God or another beloved it finally falls into distrust and despair.

Faith is also a suspense, but a suspense with excitement about the outcome of it’s relationship with God the beloved or another beloved. It leads to trust and hope.

But Van Den Haag got it wrong when he said, " the religious too perpetuate longing by placing the beloved altogether out of physical reach." He didn’t understand agape.

Agape is the God-man giving his life and everything human thing he had in total self-giving to friend and enemy. The Catholic faith teaches that Jesus, God and man, gives sinner and saint his body, soul and divinity when they receive Holy Communion. Christ gives us his blood body, soul and divinity for the same reason that a husband gives a blood transfusion to a bleeding wife or a friend gives a skin graft to a burned friend. He loves and wants to save our life. Our friends may save our life for a few more decades, but with Jesus we are saved to live forever.

This is not superstition, but biblical and was taught by a disciple of St. John the Apostle as well as by all the early church fathers:

"I am the bread of life. {49} Your forefathers ate the manna in the desert, yet they died. {50} But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which a man may eat and not die. {51} I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world." {52} Then the Jews began to argue sharply among themselves, "How can this man give us his flesh to eat?" {53} Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. {54} Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. {55} For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. {56} Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him. {57} Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me. {58} This is the bread that came down from heaven. Your forefathers ate manna and died, but he who feeds on this bread will live forever." [JOHN 6:48-58]

"St. Ignatius of Antioch, a disciple of St. John the Apostle and successor of St. Peter as bishop of Antioch, wrote: 'They [the heretics] abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, because they do not confess that the Eucharist is the Flesh of our Savior Jesus Christ, Flesh which suffered for our sins and which the Father, in His goodness, raised up again' (Epistle to the Smyrnaeans 6 [A.D. 107])."

The Eucharist and all sacraments tells us that Christ isn’t "out of physical reach." Each sacraments contains something material and something spiritual.
