LifeSiteNews' Fake News: Francis's Formally Professed Death Penalty Heresy isn't "Rupture" & is "Ambiguous"

Unambiguously, Pope Francis just materially professed heresy in changing the Catechism of the Catholic Church to say "the death penalty is inadmissible."

Almost laughably LifeSiteNews' Alan Fimister, yesterday, said it really really is ambiguous and means "that the death penalty, while legitimate in principle, is inadmissible in the concrete circumstances of 2018." Fimister wrote:

It is probably the case that the impression that this is indeed what Pope Francis has done, is, as they say, ‘past the point of correction.’ However, for what it’s worth, while this is a distressingly ambiguous text which will certainly tend to create an impression of rupture, it need not be read that way.

The new section cites three reasons for the inadmissibility of the death penalty “today”:
  1. “increasing awareness that the dignity of the person is not lost even after the commission of very serious crimes”
  2. “a new understanding … of the significance of penal sanctions imposed by the State”
  3. “more effective systems of detention have been developed, which ensure the due protection of citizens but, at the same time, do not definitively deprive the guilty of the possibility of redemption”
If the assertion here is merely that the death penalty, while legitimate in principle, is inadmissible in the concrete circumstances of 2018, and if the third consideration cited by the text — “the development of more efficacious detention systems that guarantee the due protection of citizens” — is being held up as necessary and sufficient by itself for the conclusion that in present circumstances the death penalty is illegitimate, then the assertion is not irreconcilable with the divinely revealed doctrine, definitively taught by the ordinary and universal magisterium, that the death penalty is admissible in principle. However, this would mean the assertion is merely a prudential judgment.

LifeSiteNews is absurdly saying the words "the death penalty is inadmissible" are ambiguous and doesn't mean the death penalty is: unallowable, unacceptable, impermissible, disallowed, forbidden, prohibited and use any dictionary you want.

Again, Fimister said it really really is ambiguous and means "that the death penalty, while legitimate in principle, is inadmissible in the concrete circumstances of 2018."

If this is true then LifeSiteNews needs to close down because when applying this principle to the dogma of being against abortion then it means that being against abortion, while "legitimate in principle," can now change so you can be a pro-abortion Catholic now because totally anti-abortion Catholics are "inadmissible in the concrete circumstances of 2018."

In a nutshell, if the "irreformable dogma" of the permissibility of the death penalty can change then the "irreformable dogmas" of the inadmissibility of abortion, adultery, sodomy, rape, sex abuse, murder and the Ten Commandments can change.

Concrete circumstances in 2018 can't make abortion or any "irreformable dogma" admissible nor the death penalty inadmissible.

Pray a Our Father now that the Dubia Cardinals or other Cardinals issue the correction and then declare Francis if he doesn't recant to be in heresy.
