Are Most Conservative Catholics Semi-Modernists who are becoming Total Modernist Heretics?

"Some... assembled [Council] prelates advocated... harsh measures towards the [Semi-Arian] Arianizers... Athanasius, however, proposed more temperate measures... A decree was passed, that such [Semi-Arian] bishops as had communicated with the Arians through weakness or surprise, should be recognized in their respective sees, on signing the Nicene formulary; but that those, who publicly defended the heresy, should only be admitted to lay-communion ... Yet it cannot be denied, that men of zeal and boldness were found among the [Semi-Arian] Arianizers. Two laymen, Flavian and Diodorus, protested with spirit against the [unambiguous Arian] heterodoxy of the crafty Leontius, and kept alive an orthodox [Catholic] party in the midst of the [Arian] Eusebian communion." (The Arians of the Fourth Century, By John Henry Newman, Pages 198-199)    'Yet the men were better than their creed; and it is satisfactory to be able to detect amid the impiety and worl

Steven O'Reilly Debates Catholic Monitor Reader on if Benedict is Pope: Who Won?

Today, the Catholic pundit Steven O'Reilly from Roma Locuta Est and Catholic Monitor reader In Their Hearts debated if Benedict is Pope (BiP). It was a joy to read. You had two scholars going toe-to-toe with interesting well written arguments. [ http://catholicmonitor.blogspot.com/2020/06/steve-oreilly-tons-of-problems-with.html?m=1 ] In Their Hearts apparently is learned in the Latin language and I am hoping he might debate Latinist Br. Alexis Bugnolo in the future on their disputes over the best translation of the Pope Benedict XVI resignation text. The Monitor reader is also well versed in theology as is O'Reilly who has excellent debating skills. Is Benedict pope? Who won the debate? I leave it up to the Catholic Monitor readers to decide. Enjoy this well fought debate: In Their Hearts : Concerning Benedict's resignation let's set the record straight: 1. We are not at the time of the antichrist! Why? Precisely because with the Consecration a

Fighting the Demonic: Trump, Vigano & Archbishop Cordileone's Exorcism of the Spirit of the Rioters and Evildoers

CNSNews.com on February 8, 2018, in a article titled " Trump Demanded Spiritual Cleansing of WH, Removal of Pagan, Demonic Idols ," reported Pastor Paul Begley said:  "[A] close [anonymous] source to those working in the White House revealed to me that the 'Spiritual Cleansing'... of [a]ll religious artifacts from [the] former [Barack Obama] administration were removed except for 1 cross." The article reported that Begley on the "Weekend Vigilante" show said the removed Obama religious items "were all kinds of idol gods and images and all kinds of artifacts in there that were demonic." On January 18, 2016, the Bob Larson website appeared to implicitly confirm this report about Obama having "idol god... artifacts" saying: "Obama has [the] Hindu god Hanuman in his pocket!... last week... in a series of interviews... reached into his pocket and pulled out... a Buddha, and a miniature idol of Hanuman,

Steven O'Reilly: "Tons of Problems with Francis, including Possibly being an Anti-pope. There should be an Imperfect Council"

On June 24, the Catholic Monitor was honored to have Catholic pundit Steven O'Reilly  post in its comment section. O'Reilly  at Roma Locuta Est, who always bends over backward to be fair and respectful, said: "There are tons of problems with Francis, including possibly being an anti-pope. There should be an imperfect council to examine many things." [ http://catholicmonitor.blogspot.com/2020/06/are-socci-and-mazza-saying-that-francis.html?m=1] Last year, the Catholic pundit commented on the former highest doctrinal authority in the Church, ex-Prefect of the Doctrine of the Faith, Cardinal Gerhard Muller who apparently admitted that Francis could be an anti-pope. Remember that only an anti-pope when he speaks "ex cathedra" can speak what is "invalid" because the false pope's papacy is invalid. LifeSiteNews reported that Cardinal Muller said: "'[I]f he [Francis] spoke ex cathedra... make[ing] possible the ordination of wo

Flashback: Biden's Bishop Will not Permit Him, Even if Elected VP, to Speak at Catholic Schools

It appears that when Pope Benedict XVI was still in charge that bishops acted like Catholics: August 31, 2008 Biden's Bishop Will not Permit Him, Even if Elected VP, to Speak at Catholic Schools By John-Henry Westen DELEWARE, August 26, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - In an interview with Bob Krebs, the Communications Director for the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington, to which Senator Joseph Biden belongs, Krebs confirmed that Biden's Bishop will not permit the Senator even if elected Vice President of the United States of America to speak at Catholic schools. When asked for the Bishop's take on Senator Biden and his stand in favor of abortion, Krebs directed LifeSiteNews.com to Bishop Michael Saltarelli's 2004 statement on 'Catholics in Political Life' which, said Krebs, "very plainly states Bishop's position in this matter." In that document Bishop Saltarelli notes that, in line with the US Bishops Conference policy, "Our Cat
